Lake Monduran Accommodation
Approximately 20 km north of Gin Gin, lies a very large, stocked
impoundment with a big fishing future. Lake Monduran is on the Kolan
River system.The lake has a surface area of some 5300 ha, an average
depth of 11 meters and holds 586 000 ML of water at full capacity.
Fish species stocked here are Bass, Golden Perch, Silver Perch,
Sooty Grunter, Saratoga and Barramundi. Recent reports of Barramundi
in the 20 kilogram range are an encouraging sign of things to come
for anglers.
There is a breeding population of Fork-Tailed Catfish present here
as well as Eels, Tandans, Snub Nosed Gar & Spangled Perch. This
is one of the few locations where Bass & Barramundi are both
stocked into the same lake.
Lake Monduran's many bays & the upper reaches are dominated
by masses of standing timber. Please take care at all times when
boating.

are available at the lake.
