FISHING REPORT
Over the past few year May & June have been great fishing months, with the hot weather on the decline and the cooler weather starting to set in we will see the Barra feeding more in the shallows. May and June are one of the last opportunities for these monsters to feed before the cold sets in. This is not say that we will not get these fish over the winter period but while it is still warm enough we should make the most of it.
Fishing windward points and shallow bays will produce more feeding barra as warm water is pushed around and into these areas.
Suspending hard body lures have been a real treat for the barra along with the pro range silk rig soft plastics. If you are more inclined to troll a lure I would recommend the classic pro alternative range and also the Predatek viper range. You still need to use the same method as in a casting situation and that is to look for warm water, windward bays and points and just keep trolling through them.
This time of year is an awesome time to fish as the days are comfortable and not to hot making it easy to cast. There are also great opportunities to catch yourself a glimpse of a great sunset at the end of the day so be sure to take your camera.
If you are having problems finding fish we do offer a fishing guide service to give you the best chance possible at the fish of a lifetime, so come and see our helpful staff for any info.
HAPPY FISHING!
