FISHING REPORT

Over the past few years April & May have been great fishing months, with the hot weather on the decline and the cooler weather starting to set in we will see the Barra feeding more in the shallows. April & May is one of the last opportunities for these monsters to feed before the cold sets in, this is not say that we will not get these fish over the winter period but while it is still warm enough we should make the most of it.
Fishing windward points and shallow bays will produce more feeding barra as warm water is pushed around and into these areas.
Suspending hardbody lures have been a real treat for the barra along with the pro range slik rig soft plastics. If you are more inclined to troll a lure I would recommend the classic pro alternative range and also the predatek viper range. You still need to use the same method as in a casting situation and that is to look for warm water, windward bays and points and just keep trolling through them.
If you are having problems finding fish we do offer a fishing guide service to give you the best chance possible at the fish of a lifetime, so come and see our helpful staff for any info.
HAPPY FISHING!

JOKE OF THE MONTH
The hospital’s consulting dietician was giving a lecture to several community nurses from the Southampton area of Hampshire.
The rubbish we put in our stomachs and consume should have killed most of us sitting here, year ago. Red meat is terrible. Fizzy drinks attack your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. vegetables can be disastrous because of fertilisers and pesticides and none of us realises the long term damage being done by the rotten bacteria in our drinking water.
However, there is one food that is incredibly dangerous and we all have, or will, eat it at some time in our lives. Now, is anyone here able to tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it. A 65 year old nursing sister sitting in the front row stood up and said, “Wedding cake”
